Recently I was able to conduct an interview with Moran Norris the FB from Kansas. Moran is by far the best blocking FB in this draft. At 6'1", 250 he's a physical specimen. He pumped out 37 reps of 225 at the combine, which tied him for best overall with Robert Garza. Not only can Moran block extremely well, but he can also run well. He ran for 535 yards and 9 TD's as a junior. He also holds KU records in the bench press(540), the squat(660), and the power clean(352). Below is some info on Moran, followed by our interview.

INTERVIEW:
Q: What kind if person will an NFL team be getting when they draft you?
M.N.: They'll get a team player who believes in giving 110% on every play. I'm a hard working man both on and off the field and I do whatever is asked of me to win.
Q: What have you heard about your draft status?
M.N.: To be honest, I don't really pay attention to what people say. I just chose not to listen to anything. I just know that I will be drafted somewhere.
Q: What are your plans for after your playing career is over?
M.N.: I want to be able to relax for a few years and just spend time with my family. After that down time, I'd like to be a commentator or maybe even a scout. I want to stay involved with football in some aspect.
Q: What are your three playing strengths?
M.N.: I think my size, strength and speed are my biggest strengths.
Q: Do you have any weaknesses in your game that you're looking to improve on?
M.N.: At times, I have a tendancy to run high. I'm working on that now, but once I get the professional coaching, that'll be fixed.
Q: Are you physically ready for the NFL?
M.N.: Yes. I've been through alot in my football career. I'm one of the toughest, most hard nosed football players you will ever meet. I played with a broken nose. Fullbacks have to be tough. It's the nature of the position.
Q: Are you mentally ready as well?
M.N.: I think I'm ready mentally too. Kansas didn't win many games, so you had to be mentally tough do deal with tough losses. I've always been menatlly strong. I know that the NFL is a higher level, but I've prepared my mind and body well for it.
Q: With the draft now 2 weeks away, what are you doing to stay focused?
M.N.: I just workout alot and talk to my parents and friends. Me and my girlfriend will go to the movies sometimes. I'm still doing the same things I've always done.
Q: What was the combine like for you?
M.N.: It was a good overall experience. I got to meet different players and all of the NFL coaches and GM's. I thought it was a good environment. The physicals were tough, but that's the game now. I just wanted to show my skills and I feel I did that.
Q: What are your goals for your rookie season?
M.N.: I set my goals high. I want to be an All-Pro player right off the bat. I want to get a ton of pancakes, good yardage, catch some balls, and score some TD's. I also want to be a contributor on special teams as well.
Q: What are your career goals?
M.N.: I'd like to win a Super Bowl ring. That's the name of the game. I'd also like to make a few Pro Bowls.
Q: Is there a FB in the NFL that you model your game after?
M.N.: I consider myself to be a FB with running back skills. I model my blocking after Sam Gash and my running style like Mike Alstott. I plan on being used in alot of different ways to show my skills.
Q: What teams have expressed the most interest in you thus far?
M.N.: It's hard to tell. When I was at the Senior Bowl and the combine, I spoke with every team. It's a toss up.
